iPLAN To Surprise Honey Tonight

1. Think of a “theme.”

You don’t always need a special occassion when surprising your special someone. So during an ordinary day and you feel like throwing her a surprise, think of a possible theme just to add some spice.

2. Choose a menu.

Since the goal here is to surprise your partner and not yourself, keep in mind her favorite dishes. So what if she likes lechon and crispy pata, even if you are  currently on your veggie diet?

3. What to buy?

Make a list of all the things that you will be needing – food ingredients, flowers, cards and the like. You would not want to be going to the department store over and over again so make sure you don’t miss anything. Be very detailed.

4. Think of the mood music.

The mood music does not only apply to romantic dinners. Bear in mind that what you hear could change a big part of your mood in an instant. Think of songs which may have had a sentimental value to you as a couple or something that your partner would really love to hear.

5. A surprise is something which he/she isn’t aware of.

Sure we might need some help from friends in preparing for the surprise but make sure that nothing about what you plan slips to your partner. As much as possible, do it yourself. It makes it even more special than having some people help you.

6. Take pictures.

Of course you want memories of this special moment. Take a lot of pictures. Candid shots are a lot of fun. Combine all the photos in one album and give it as a souvenir gift to your partner.

7. Cook the food yourself.

Cooking the food by yourself makes it special. During dinner, share with your partner your kitchen experience while preparing the food. If you’re not much of a good cook, all the more special that “trying” to cook becomes.
