iPLAN to Travel
1. Identify your purpose.
Identifying your trip’s purpose will also help you identify the load of planning that you will need for the trip.
2. Meet somewhere in between your style and goal.
Are you more comfortable with spontaneity? Or do you want your trip to be well-planned? Once you have identified your style, compromise this with your travel goal. If your goal is adventure, go backpacking and let spontaneity decide where to take you. However if the goal of your travel is to get some important information, then it will be best to have it carefully planned.
3. Ask around.
Before doing anything, ask around. Surf websites. Look for ideas. Search for routes, travel agencies, attractions and so on. That way, you would have more options to choose from.
4. Set your budget.
Determine your budget. How much are you willing to spend? First, identify your expenses then allot the budget which you are willing to shell out for each. Make sure to include even just a small amount for emergency funds. You never know what could arise.
5. Prepare your vehicle.
To ensure yourselves a smooth and hassle-free travel, prepare your vehicle. Make sure it is in excellent mechanical shape.
Carry with you basic tools, an extra tire, flashlights, batteries, sleeping bags and the like. |
